One evening in NYC in 1980, my friend, writer Victor Bockris and I arranged for Mick Jagger, William Burroughs and Andy Warhol to have dinner at the Bunker, William’s’ residence on the Bowery. Before Mick arrived, Andy was chatting with William, mostly about attractive boys. Andy suddenly said, “Someone should invent a sandwich with a drink in it.” He seemed to have a new idea every second! The atmosphere was palpable. A food fight erupted. Then, the egos of these three charismatic gods of the counterculture, clashed, resulting in a profound silence. Marcia Resnick
