The Art Of Philanthropy: Philanthropist Dame Dr. Munni Irone
Dame Dr. Munni Irone is not only a global peace leader, author, celebrity-coach, humanitarian, human rights advocate, and spiritual teacher. She is the voice for global peace and service. She provides opportunity to all people of diverse class, race, nationality and status, that would not otherwise be available. She splits her generous time between multiple humanitarian efforts. Bringing peace and prosperity to her community and all over the world is her passion and she has devoted her life’s work to this cause.
Dame Dr. Munni Irone is not driven by financial gains, she is driven by the passion to help others. She has founded and self-funded multiple organizations. One of those is a non-profit founded in 2015, Art4PeaceAwards, which recognizes those who are leading the global efforts for peace. The Art4PeaceAwards consists of seven categories (music, dance, cinema, culinary arts, martial arts, painting arts, and king/queen) and brings together nominees from seven continents to teach people to be proud of their own culture, while learning about others. The goal of cultural awareness is that unity will create world peace.
Another organization founded by Dame Dr. Munni Irone is Wisdomland International, which is the first self-sustainable shelter running on a check and balance system. Wisdomland is built to combat hunger, provide shelter and train unfortunate women, children, men and animals so that they can become self-sufficient.
AMM: Do you believe in the “practice what you preach” philosophy?
MI: When I was 27, I told my mom I wanted to share my messages with the world. She said, do whatever you want to do, and I will follow you. It’s all about sharing. Whatever I am doing people love me for who I am – I am very organic. People have a lot of faith in me.
AMM: What are your future goals for Art4PeaceAwards?
MI: I work with country leaders to create jobs all over the world. I want to improve the economy of the country. I have proposed, what can we do in the United States for students not to have so many loans and what can we do internationally when giving aid to people.
AMM: You have said your mission in life is to build a shelter before you die, and you are achieving this with Wisdomland International. Why is this your mission and how did you arrive at it?
MI: I am a domestic abuse survivor. During that time, I was asking myself why me? I have been a good girl. I then asked myself how abusers come about, and I realized all abusers have commonalities – an abuser regardless of any gender is an abuser. Men have no place to go – men are taught not to express their emotions. I came up with this self-sustainable shelter for men, women, children and animals. I have to do this shelter and I have never asked anyone for money or donations.
